Final results for my applications

I got the conditional offer from Cranfield yesterday when I went back home to pick something up, so, including Imperial College, which has promised to handle me a conditional offer in writing in recent weeks via email last week, all the six universities had replied me the result for their decisions.

The first one I got was:

The University of Sheffield:

Aerodynamics and Aerostructures MSc(Res)

Department of Mechanical Engineering

With conditions ask me to obtain an average score for over 70% and a bachelors’ degree.

As I had mentioned in one of my previous daily in space, I got the reject letter from Bath on the day I received the offer from Sheffield. I’m really in confidence that I was not rejected by Bath because of the limitation of my academic level, but because this programme has already offered two places to two of my college mates in another department (I knew this from Taisha that the lover duo used an id as 320405 which every students if not stupid from BUAA will definitely know what it means, and they said they will accept the offer.) and I think this was the exactly reason why Bath rejected me, cause I don’t think they would handle three places out of 15 to Chinese students.

The University of Bath:

MSc in Aerospace Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Then about two weeks later, was

The University of Manchester:

Thermal Power & Fluid Engineering Full Time MSc

School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Civil Engineering

With conditions ask me to achieve an average score for over 75% and a bachelors’ degree.

In the late December of last year, I got email from Soton that told me I’ve been made a place on the course below and soon I would get the conditional offer in writing, but I’ve seen nothing from my mailbox until 11th Feb this year that I got the exactly offer from Southampton with condition asks me to obtain a bachelors’ degree in order to transfer my con-offer into unconditional offer.

The University of Southampton:

MSc Aerodynamics and Computation

School of Engineering Sciences

Then around the day I received the offer from Soton, I sent email to enquiry the process of my application to Imperial College. One day later, I got the reply from admissions office that told me that my application was still under consideration in the department and no decision had been made as yet but about half hour later I got the email for the department I applied that told me I’ve been made a conditional offer in the course I applied for but the condition would be up to 85% on average providing the bachelors’ degree which definitely would be included. The staff in that department also remind me that if I would not manage to obtain such level, there would be an alternative choice for me which is "MSc in Composite Materials" which I think is the Lucy’s programme, isn’t she? And this programme’s entrance level will be a little bit lower that an average score for over 80% will be sufficient.

Imperial College:

MSc in Computational Methods for Aeronautics, Flow Management and Fluid-Structure Interaction

Department of Aeronautics

And yesterday, when I went back home to pick the charge for my cell phone, I found the offer from Cranfield had arrived. And the condition is to obtain a bachelors’ degree. But Cranfield asks for an offer fee for 25 pounds and require me to reply before 8 March.

Cranfield University:

MSc Aerospace Dynamics

School of Engineering

So, the final score will stay at 5:1, I conceded one reject, and the condition of IC means that I may cannot going to London. But however, 5:1 is not a bad score and I’m quite satisfied with th

What will be my final choice? Cranfield has been excluded, IC may has been excluded either, and left Sheffield, Manchester and Soton remained. Manchester is now in advance place, maybe is because my favourite Manchester United. Who knows? I will reply all offers in the coming month.

PS, Soton gives me a scholarship for around 1,500 pounds.
